hey budagrass, here we are not talking about pure adrenaline or something. Over there we go to catch and be safe as possible. Also we will spend money on fuel, every one will have the day out so if im in it I don t want rash things. We spend a lot of money in equipment and dont want to loose it out there. I wish to be with guys I swim with and know that their performance is at the top.

This thing was going to make it alone with some good friends at a max of 2 boats and 3 spearoes in the water. Its really danger so someone needs to have the contral of this. I will speak with Giovanni as he is much better then me and we talk about it

EmicMalta .... when I was talking about pure adrenaline I meant the fun and thrill of it ... even for just being on a boat watching you guys catching a nice fish. I didn't expect you to go dive with me in open seas. By offering myself as part of the support team I meant as being aboard with you guys, SHARING FUEL like everyone else and having the buzz of giving a helping hand where needed ... imqar jekk inlibes ic-cinturin tac-comb lil xi hadt. OMG ..... dont tell me you thought that I'de be the one diving with you guys in open seas with just a 75 harpoon ? LOL. Anyway .... I don't wanna sound like I am begging to come or something similar .... but if there is an availability for someone aboard I'de be more than happy.
If you ain't living on the edge, your taking too much bloody space

Hi Nick! Long time no see mate! Seems like you really understood the looks that Simon and I were giving each other that day - we could have shot the tuna from the surface without diving at all! What a sight! We will catch some of those beasts spearfishing one day - once I was at the surface in about 12m deep recovering after a dive - I looked down and saw a 15 to 20 kg tuna passing just underneath me like a bullet - obviously I couldn't even perform the duck dive in time, let alone take a shot...but that reminded me of that day we were out there...damn teaser :)
Man will never be able to stop time but he can get very close by freediving.

Damn teaser indeed, and very frustrating!!! Adds to the excitment of trying to catch them, and would be nice to see Tuna caught by Spearfishing :) !

The_Gaffer

Best month would be september. Yes, the gaffer would be available for such an expedition. This would give me the thrill of a lifetime! I also have an 8 foot dingy with a 4 HP outboard which could be handy

the dingy is a good tool. We will tie it at the end of the lines, firs due that its light and the fish can tow it, second cos even with a guy on it it will stay light, and for your boat, i saw it from pics and really looks well equiped.

LapsiBoy

Guys had you gone on this expidition ??

EmicMalta

No we didn t. We had serviced our rib and we re still working on it. If wanted, we could had tried near fish farms

LapsiBoy

Emic, some time we can go from lapsi and try some areas under the irdum :) I have some good places ;)

EmicMalta

#24
we can do it when you like. I do it a lot but was alone this summer so i dont go more then 15mtr

LapsiBoy

No i mean wo go with the kajjik in some places under the irdum or next to filfla ;)

EmicMalta

Filfla you can t stop, so much more with spearfishing. Regards the cliffs, yes sometimes I went but its not productive.

ed don t you think its a little bit danger going near the tuna pens ,first there are too many ropes in the sea there  and if you shoot at a fish  and she goes between all that ropes  and  get tangled in the deep i don t know how you can get her to the surface and pay attention cause  near the pens  its not the first time that predators are seen there.By the way a friend of mine last year shot at  an amberjack about 50 kg near qawra pens but he lost everything because she didn t gave him the chance to release the (rukkel) and went away with the speargun

EmicMalta

SUre charjie, we where not intended to go by the fish pans. Too many ropes and there will be dealing with large fish. Also can damage their equipment.

As for preditors sure there will be. Its inposible that with all that tuna there isn t.

This morning I was talking to my dad andone of his friends caught a nice shark from near the pens this year
