A large number of you here have asked me or Nick whether there will be a national tournament next year, in support of a good cause.  My answer to that question is very simple.

It all depends on you ;)

Joe how about collecting some aftermoney either for the forum or to add to the Puttinu care. If the forum had to sell a copy of the event (video coverage) for a small fee that would mean at least multplied by 80 participants not counting the crews.

i missed it again yesterday, so far I have never seen anything regarding the competition........

That's a very good idea Tony.  We have full copyright of the raw video, although we share copyright on the edited video as aired by Mr. Fisherman.  Lets discuss here with Nick which would be the best way.

We're due to pick up the raw unedited footage from Josef and then we'll see what we can put together. Unfortunately we don't have any photo's as a photographer was on another boat and I have not seen these.

It's true that after the event the best memory aside from the direct experience is from photo's and video's and I would encourage participants to take their own photo's / video's during such events as if that footage/photo's were then passed on, we could put together a really great DVD of video and photo's from lots of different boats and therefore perspectives.

If we do the event next year, funds will need to be put aside for greater coverage of the event on the actual day, and this can only be done by having more photographers/videographers and also if participants allow them to come on their boat for the day.

At this stage I wouldn't like to commit to a fee for a DVD as we still need to see the raw footage.

Issue over a new committee has been discussed elsewhere and is unlikely to happen at this stage. Nothing taboo!
