Hello guys,  I'm fishing in sliema bay most of the time but yesterday and today it's a lot of wind and no catches.  Anyone can explain how does the wind affect when fishing from shore?

I mean, not only for casting but for the fishes feeding, currents and so on.

If anyone can tell when is the best condition, that'd be great.

Thanks in advance

The current of the sea, rather than the wind affects the fishes feeding. Although for shore fishing it is better to have unclear water rather than crystal clear one, heavy currents make it impossible for the fish to sea the bait and to actually take a bight at it since it is constantly moving. In my opinion and from my experience, the best condition is unclear water and not very calm (for example after a storm) but not very windy and choppy. Hope this helps.

Well, Actually I want to know when is the better condition for fishing from shore here in Malta.  I know it depends on the region, for example in Spain East winds move the surface plancton which attract small fish.  On the other hand, west winds move away all that plancton.  Or for example there is a harbour close by my hometown that at 6 o'clock in the morning, the fishing boats come back and throw overboard all the small fish that they can't sell in the market, which attracts the sawrell.  I hope I have explained well (sorry I'm not English).

Summarising, I want to know your opinions about when is that ideal condition for fishing in sliema and surroundings :D
