Sea bass/spnott is caught all year round, but not so easy to catch especially during the summer months. Best weather conditions are cloudy sky and rough sea (like today). This fish is found in shallow waters up to 15 meters deep. Best seabed is where it alternates between rocks and sand. It is caught during sunset, sunrise but sometimes even during the day. As lures use thin minnows or poppers. Hope this helps

Fake Bait floating minnows by Maria/Yamashita are excellent, but any small minnow will do the job. It is also important to change the retrieving speed. Cast, start reeling slowly, increase the speed, then slow it etc to mimic a live bait fish.

I usually go to cirkewwa... Not so many catches but good followups.
