Fishing for Barracuda

Use deep divers natural colours emic and than tell me what was your result.The worst is that they aren't close to land because I would have had a go!

I didn tried near land due that at the moment Im diving only on reefs. But 2 weks ago I was at limits of zurriq and we meet a school o bcudas. Maybe that area tey started

I tried for an hour in some places at Lapsi and there wasent any presence of them

I think now there are plenty of barracudas ,since no one is asking more where to find them.I ve seen some in ports but this is the worst year so far.I remember much more abundance .i think they are spotted and netted quickly.I remember shoals in the grand harbour at November that never ends up.I ve caught plenty.I now know that today these nice dreams are over.

i fear that it wont be so good since last year at this time of the year,October it was much better.I ve seen some shoals but not persistent .Persistent shoals provide good catches.

could it be they will come later this year cause of the teperature of the sea is higher this year when compared to other years???

Yes it can be.i saw some schools though but i was told some days ago they were caught with a parit at night.parit is an enemy of fisherman in close shores.they throw stones to disurb the fish and the fish go straight in nets.greed.

3 days ago i went spinning for cudas in wied iz zurrieq for about 3 hours and managed to catch one of 90cm weighing 2.3kg.
I had a lot of fun as it was my first one. I got to know about the place thanks to this forum. Thanks friends

I bought a .30 from spitec

as emic said .30 is fine.i never use wire. if u are using a rod its better if it is soft tipped in my opinion. nowadays u find quite a lot of spinning rods.

sorry if im going out of point...is the 0.30 line good for spinning for klamari??
i have a shimano reel but unfortunately have only one spool :/
