Granitu that is a great suggestion. Soap is polluting the sea. I live on the strand in Sliema and as I am fishing early in the morning, I watch several boat crews (won't mention names, but the biggest ones) throw buckets and buckets of soap overboard that they use to wash the decks... (I hope it's some eco-friendly product). Of course they are not the only ones. To everyone: most sunlotions are terrible for the environment too. For example they screw up corals and the zooxanthelle that are in symbiosis with them.

shanook

yep funny enough they discharge the bigle water when inside the harbour, and nobody tells them anything

no man it will hurt your fingers.

go for 0.80 handline and minimum 0.50 leader.
that's the way to prepare for good catches.

else you should be losing more time and end up catching less than others who are more practical.
the fishing gods might have something for me tomorrow I'll be fishing

be in the sea by 5am and try be on FADs at 5.30am or 6am.

the thing is that you have to be first on FAds. Once there are more people around you and the more boats going round an FADs they scare the lampuki after sometime and will not keep getting bites.

I find 80mm a little to thick for lampuki. True, when there are many they bite, however sometimes it can make a difference. I personally buy Higher quality, but thinner lines. Normally a  .55mm and .40mm for the leader.
