it is also good!

most prefer the early hours and sunset hours but any time will do.

just when the lampuki gets a little more clever sunrise and sunsets are ideal.
the fishing gods might have something for me tomorrow I'll be fishing

Apart from lampuki, tunnagg and fanfri is there anything you can troll for at this time of the year? eg. some pastardella...
I'd rather be fishing.....

Stick to lampuki benri and dont complicate things ;)

Pastardell are too complicated

this year has not been so good in catching lampuki for me neither...
Since starting my hobby for fishing with my boat, I have only caught one good sized pastardella (marlin) while trolling for lampuki. I think it was a matter of luck however I will never forget the experience in getting it in my boat and then having photos !!!

benri

what lure were you using? a lampuki lure?

I do not think that it is a matter of luck. Try to change the way you are fishing, e.g. the lure, the lenght of nylon you are trolling, try to add a piece of lead and so on. Expriment, do not wait for the fish, make the fish come to you. Tease them. My experience last year. Lot of lampuki but did not want to bite. We had a piece of sicca on board, "Grampa", when we hooked it with our line, the lampuki did not want to stop, untill it got eaten all. My advice is try and keep on trying.

benri

yes but are there any particular lures (eg feathers) to troll for pastardella? or maybe rapalas etc?

I have a big hammered metalla. It is like the scale of the fish. I find it very effective for pastardella and even swordfish.
